IMMIGRATION PROGRAM EB-3 FOR PROFESSIONALS, SKILLED AD UNSKILLED WORKERS
There are so many people out in the world who want to move to and live in the United States. It is still known to many as the land of opportunity. As such, it may be necessary to utilize the services of an immigration lawyer to review all options for his or her client to get them to where they want to be. If the main goal of the potential immigrant is to gain an employment in the US, the EB-3 Third Preference program may be a good option. However, a valid job offer from a U.S. employer is required to apply under this program.
Professional Worker
This person is someone who holds a Bachelor’s Degree or more advanced in the United States or the equivalent of one from the country from which they come. That person must then intend to use that education to take a job that requires at least that level of education for an entry-level position.
If a person does not posses a foreign equivalent to the U.S. Bachelor’s Degree, professional experiences in the field may count. Generally every five years of professional experience equal one year of college.
Skilled Workers
A good immigration attorney can get someone into the United States if they are a skilled worker. That is if they are someone who possesses at least two years of experience in the field they are seeking employment in. At the same time, they must also be attempting to work in a job where there are simply not enough qualified workers available in the United States.
Unskilled Laborer
Finally, if one can prove that he or she will be performing unskilled labor for at least two years for which there is not enough qualified labor in the United States, then he or she may be able to obtain a green card this way. This one may be harder to prove as unskilled labor is generally abundant. Lacking is the benefit of proving skills or education, supplemented with the ability and willingness to take a job that other Americans do not want.
EB-3 immigration program is one used by plenty of people seeking their shot at the American dream. You just have to be willing to explore all avenues available to you with your immigration lawyer to help get you in through this system.
